GI Biome is concretizing its microbiome business, as its new cancer drug currently in development is expected to enter clinical trial within the year. 

GI Biome is a microbiome therapeutics company jointly established by GI Innovation and Mediogen in 2018. It successfully raised 33.5 billion won ($25 million) in Series A funding round in 2019. Companies such as Yuhan, Maeil Dairies, and Cytogen  participated as strategic investors at the time.
