GI Biome announced on the 6th that it has received approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for a phase 1 clinical trial plan (IND) for the new cancer drug candidate 'GB-104'.
This clinical trial evaluates the safety and dosage of GB-104 in colorectal cancer patients. Specifically, it targets patients with sigmoid colon cancer and rectal cancer who have completed the planned standard treatment. In addition, the immune response and microbiome-related biomarkers (biometric indicators) of colorectal cancer patients will be analyzed, and the quality of life of cancer patients will be evaluated.
