Sarcopenia refers to a decrease in muscle mass, strength, and muscle function that accompanies aging, causing weakening of body functions. Emerging research findings consistently indicate that age-related muscle loss elevates the susceptibility to conditions such as stroke, cardiovascular diseases, and even dementia.
