GI Innovation and its affiliate GI Longevity announced that they have been selected as finalists in XPRIZE Healthspan, the world’s largest international competition in the field of healthspan extension.

More than 600 teams from 58 countries participated in the competition, with 100 teams advancing to the semifinals following an intense selection process. After being named among the Top 40 in May last year, GI Innovation and GI Longevity have now secured a place among the final 20 teams.

The companies attended the XPRIZE Healthspan Finalists Awards Ceremony held in Utah, United States. They have also been officially invited to the XPRIZE Healthspan Team Summit, where they will discuss potential collaborations with leading research teams from around the world.

XPRIZE Healthspan is a seven-year global competition with a total prize purse of USD 101 million, equivalent to approximately KRW 140 billion. The competition aims to develop therapeutic interventions capable of restoring muscle, cognitive, and immune function in adults aged 50 to 90 to levels seen at least 10 years earlier—and ultimately up to 20 years earlier—through treatments administered within one year.
